Dr. Amber Busay has worked in the field of special education for over 15 years. She began her journey as a paraprofessional in a non-public school setting. After realizing her dream was to continue to work with children with special needs, she went back and obtained her Master's of Art in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism.
She then pursued additional schooling and received her BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst), where she continued to work in the non-public setting as a behavior analyst, mainly working with students with severe inappropriate behaviors under varying eligibility categories.
Dr. Amber Busay then moved to the school district setting as a behavior intervention specialist in Travis Unified School District, where she completed her doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Special Education.

Vona Fe Hoeft received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Merced, where she developed a strong foundation in behavioral science, research methods, and evidence-based practices. Before joining the AB Behavior and Consulting team, she worked as a Behavior Assistant with Travis Unified School District, supporting staff in implementations of behavior intervention plans and supporting students with diverse behavioral and learning needs through individualized interventions and collaborative educational planning. With her experience in Special Education, she specializes in implementing behavior strategies and promoting positive classroom environments. At AB Behavior and Consulting, she applies her experience and knowledge in assisting with the business’s advocacy services, behavior services, and dental desensitization program. Additionally, she is a parent to twins, one of them with an IEP, giving her a unique and personal understanding of the IEP process from both sides of the table. She looks forward to working with families to help make sure clients are set up for success!
